JOB OR FLOP?

Good morning,

I hope you all enjoy a nice weekend and have said goodbye and thanks for an amazing summer – while also welcoming Autumn. I myself have had a weekend with a little bit of a mixed feelings…

I have not actually talked to you about this on the blog, but a few weeks ago I applied to attend a yoga course in order to become a yoga instructor. For the longest time I have been a huge fan of yoga, both as a way of exercising the body, but also as a lifestyle. So, I quickly came to up with a master plan in which I could blog and instruct yoga at the same time, and this way make a career out of the things that I love… well, I think not!!

To make a long and painful story short, I can hereby announce that I have put my career as a yoga instructor on hold for now. After arriving at the course, I felt out of my way to say the least!! It soon became clear to me that this was a course of yoga people, all of which have studied yoga, and several of them with an instructor background. And as if this was not embarrassing in itself, we had to go up and teach each other on several occasions, while we were judged by the mentors. I honestly think that it could only get worse if I were to do it all naked. Suddenly, I could not remember right from the left, and as I was almost fainting due to lack of oxygen in my lungs, I was definitely not able to guide the breathing of the other attendees. After a day that felt like an eternity, I went home and sat on the couch for 10 seconds. I quickly came to the realisation that, for now, I must leave my yoga career behind so that nobody will get hurt.

Having a bachelor’s degree from CBS, I have been told a countless of times that most courses and extra credits looks good on a resume. Thus, I think that this tragicomic story can get a little benefit by adding “1/100-part yoga instructor” to the CV … not, of course, it’s a joke (that occurred in the moment – and the quality of the joke can therefore be debated) !!

Have a nice Sunday.

Hugs

// Godmorgen,
